Guidelines and Best Practices for OURS Providers

This article will cover some guidelines and best practices for being a provider on the OURS platform.

Setting your Availability

  • By setting your availability within OURS, couples can easily check their schedule against yours and book a convenient time. We ask that providers have at least 2 weeks of upcoming availability in OURS at any time. This article walks through how to set availability.

NOTE: Please double check your availability any time you receive a new match. We want couples to have an amazing experience with OURS and logging in to book a session, but seeing their provider doesn't have or only has very limited availability is not the best first impression.

  • If you have reached your maximum caseload, please let us know and we will pausing matching until we hear from you that you are ready for more.

Conducting Sessions

  • All sessions with OURS couples should be completed on the OURS app. This means you join the video conference via OURS, you complete notes within the app, you use OURS to send/receive sessions with your clients, and you mark sessions completed or missed within OURS.
  • While you use the OURS platform to serve couples, you completely own the therapeutic relationship. That means you have full and total control over how you deliver therapy.

After Sessions

Getting Matches

We match providers and couples based on:

  • Location
  • Populations Served/Preferences
  • Experience/Focus Areas
  • Availability

We keep in mind the information you gave us while onboarding. If you ever have significant changes to information provided while onboarding, please let us know so we can keep that in mind. For example, if you receive additional training on a certain area, add a license in a new state, or have more availability open up, give us a shout!

Minimum Client Requirements

We currently don't have any minimum requirements set for caseloads.

Minimum Availability

We currently don't have any minimum availability requirements, however, you do need to provide at least one available hour per week to be matched with a couple.

Rules/ Expectations for Cancellations

In the event that a session is canceled or rescheduled by the client within 24 hours of the scheduled time, they are charged a cancellation fee and the provider receives half rate pay. The same fee applies in the event of a no-show. In the event that a client must cancel an appointment, it's important that they are the one physically cancelling it. This will alert our system that they owe a cancellation fee.

Progress Note Policies

We encourage all providers on our platform to complete notes on the Ours platform within 24 hours of their completed session.
